A Soul's Plea

Come fill me now this feeble soul
With life abundant and joy untold.
The false pleasures of this world will fade dim
In the light and treasure of Him.

When others plead me to follow them
Remind my soul the dreadful end
May the love for worldly pride and love
Be minute to my hope above.

When goods like idols steal and mock
The comforts found in the Rock
Destroy them fierce and in the pain
You me restore and give me gain.
